The Super Duelist is a superlative aircraft designed to have full aerobatic capabilities while retaining very realistic looks and docile handling characteristics. Based off of the Dave Platt Duelist 2/40 Mark II design and the Northeast Aerodynamics Twin-Air designs, The Super Duelist is a full range aircraft offering everything from sport flying to full aerobatics.

The Super Duelist has many improvements over both the Duelist 2/40 Mark II and Twin-Air designs including a gracefully curved fiberglass fuselage with plenty of room for your retracts. The airplane has an entirely new fully symmetrical wing design spanning 81". The horizontal stabilizer and Rudder are built-up and air foiled and the Fin is molded right into the fiberglass fuselage.
One of the new enhancements to the design is to raise the nacelles on the wing to increase prop clearance. You can easily swing a 16" prop and still have over 3" of ground clearance! We will be offering 2 fiberglass Nacelle Cowls. The standard cowl offers 5" clearance from the spinner backplate to the firewall while the second offers a full 6"! That allows enough room to mount a Saito 1.80 in the nacelle (not recommended).
Yes, the Super Duelist is IMAA-legal!
Its highly visible color scheme crafted from paint and high quality authentic MonoKote film has been selected to assist you with visual orientation of the airplane while in flight and landing. We recognize that color schemes are personal and have left room for personalized customizations of the color scheme. Since the covering material is Monokote you should easily be able to customize your Super Duelist.
Want something different? Send us a sketch of the Super Duelist with your own color scheme and send it to us. If your scheme has broad appeal, we'll consider it for inclusion in our color scheme offerings and you'll get the credit for the color scheme design.
If we use your color scheme we'll give you a significant discount if you purchase a Super Duelist with your design on it!
